“Both Sadaf and Javeria failed dope tests and are now banned for two years, they can appeal against the ban within two weeks and if they are not cleared then the ban will continue for two years,” The Daily Times quoted Pakistan Olympic Association director general, Major Muhammad Afzal, as saying.

Sadaf is a track and field sprint athlete who competes internationally for Pakistan. She competed in the 100 metres sprint in Beijing and was placed seventh in her heat without advancing to the second round. She ran the distance in 12.41 seconds.
