ShareMumbai: The paparazzi doesn't seem to be tired of Sarfaraz Khan -- the wonder boy from Rizvi Springfield High School -- one bit. On Saturday, the cameras followed him till the land's end, literally. He was found hobnobbing with Shah Rukh Khan at the superstar's residence in Bandra.
It now transpires that the Kolkata Knight Riders owner had evinced interest in meeting the young cricket sensation. On Saturday afternoon, 'King Khan' star spent time with the 12-year-old boy, who scored a record-breaking 439 in a Harris Shield match recently.
What's more, Shah Rukh has also promised help to the wonderkid and invited him to the KKR camp . "He said I can go for the KKR camp and learn things from dada (Sourav Ganguly) and Ricky Ponting. He has also invited me for KKR's IPL games," Sarfaraz said adding: "He has asked us to enjoy the game and score as many runs as possible. He told us stories about him how he used to play cricket. He said his thigh pad would become a chest guard as he was thin and short, and how he used to get scolded by his coach."
Sarfaraz also got an autograph on his bat from Shah Rukh with a message which he will treasure for a lifetime. "It was nice of him to pose for photos with me," the boy said.
Sarfaraz went to Mannat (SRK's house) along with schoolmates Armaan Jaffer and Prithwi Shaw. The meeting was arranged by Makarand Waingankar, head of KKR's talent wing. "Shah Rukh was keen on meeting the youngster. He also wanted to meet the youngsters who were future of Mumbai cricket," Waingankar said.
Sarfaraz said he is not a movie buff. But when he got an chance to meet the badshah of Indian cinema, he could not resist it. "I am not crazy about movies. But who would not like to meet Shah Rukh as I am his fan," said the 12-year-old. "He is so different. I mean he is like any of us. He is jolly and a fun-loving person. Despite being such a big star, he never behaved like one," the Std VII student said.
