Akbar Travels and Mumbai Customs split the points after their Elite Division match ended in a 1-1 draw in the Mumbai District Football Association (MDFA) league on Friday.
After a barren first half, both teams were successful in scoring a goal each in the second session at the Poinsur Gymkhana ground.
With both teams fighting hard to gain the upper hand, Akbar Travels managed to grab the lead in the 70th minute through Sharad Babu. But Customs’ reliable striker Francisco helped his side salvage a draw by netting the equaliser nine minutes later.
This was the third draw for both the teams. They also have an identical 12 points each from seven matches.
Earlier in the afternoon, Dena Bank thrashed Juhu Sparks 7-0 in a Super Division encounter.
