Lilavati Podar could not capitalise on the superiority in numbers they had over Arya Vidya Mandir, Juhu. AVM had only 11 players in their squad and one of them, Arima misplaced her shin guards in the vicinity of the grounds. She managed to join her teammates in the 10th minute of the game in which AVM beat Podar 2-1 in a Girls U-16 encounter of the MSSA inter-school tournament at Azad Maidan on Tuesday.

AVM took the lead in the first half in a controversial manner when a shot from Bhargawi appeared to be on the line but the linesman adjudged it as a goal. In the second half, Podar fought back and equalled the score through Anila Matthews. AVM took back the lead when they were awarded a penalty for a handball, which finished neatly in the top corner by Kanan Jhunjhunwala.
