High on confidence after an upset win over Churchill Brothers in the previous round, Mumbai FC will be hoping to build on the win when they take on a depleted Mohun Bagan at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on Saturday.
Bagan will be missing the services of captain Jose Barreto, midfielder Hudson Lima and striker Sunil Chhetri, who is suspended for the tie following a double booking in the last match. To add to their woes, Syed Rahim Nabi also is a doubtful starter for the tie.
“We are high on confidence after a win against Churchill Brothers. We will be looking to do well and win this match,” Mumbai FC manager Henry Picardo said.
Meanwhile, Churchill Brothers would look to put behind their last match defeat and go for a win when they lock horns with HAL Bangalore at Nehru Stadium in Goa. Their coach Manuel Gomes is now under tremendous pressure to ensure his outfit performs well.
