Madhya Pradesh to set up State Sports Authority

Madhya Pradesh Sports and Youth Welfare Department would soon set up a State Sports Authority, state sports minister Tukojirao Pawar told the Assembly today.
   
The assurance was given by Pawar, on the directions of speaker Ishwardas Rohani, to Congress's Ajay Singh during the Question Hour in the State Assembly.
   
Singh wanted to know from the sports minister when the proposal to set up the State Sports Authority, was sent to the Madhya Pradesh government after its formulation.
   
When the minister said that he will inform the member about it after enquiring from the department, an irked Singh alleged that the proposal was pending with chief minister's
Secretariat for a year and wanted to know the exact date.
   
Later the speaker directed the minister to form the Authority soon.
