Kotak Mahindra Bank win the Cloud 9 Pin Bowl Corpo 2010

Move over cricket matches and beer lunches! Corporates have now discovered a whole new platform to unwind — the Cloud 9 Pin Bowl Corpo ‘10, India’s biggest corporate mix bowling championship.

Presented by DNA, this unique bowling event witnessed the participation of 103 noted corporate teams this year. Having grown immensely in merely four years, the event has asked for registration in the Limca Book of Indian records.

More than 1300 bowling games were played in this mega tournament. Among the participants were Kamal Jain, the CFO of DNA, Shalini Mehta, the executive vice-president of Kotak Mahindra Bank, Naren Jawahrani, the president of Datamatics, Indrani Ghosh, the vice-president of JP Morgan, Mitesh Shah, financial VP, equity sales, Brics Securities, Sridhar Iyer, senior VP, HSBC Bank and K Ramesh Reddy, the deputy general manager, Idea.

Among others who were present were Sudip Ghose, director, Samsonite and Smita Gaikwad, VP Corp Comm, WNS.
Out of the 12 finalists, the championship trophy was bagged by Kotak Mahindra Bank with TCS BFS in second spot. FIS came third, Direct I fourth and WNS Global Services finished fifth.
The other finalists were HDFC Bank, Diebold, Brics Securities, Edelweiss, HDFC ERGO, Ask Group and Tata Aig Life.
Gerald from Diebold and Shobhana from Kotak Mahindra Bank were adjudged Player of the Tournament and the Highest Individual Scorer respectively.

The associate sponsors of the event were Chevrolet, Nokia and WeSchool.
