Kashima Antlers claimed a third consecutive J-League title after a 1-0 victory over rivals Urawa Red Diamonds on the final day of the season.

Shinzoh Koroki scored his 12th of the season after 68 minutes at a rain-soaked Saitama Stadium on Saturday to spark celebrations amongst the away fans.

The Antlers finished on 66 points from 34 games to win a record extending seventh title since the introduction of the J-League in 1993.

Kawasaki Frontale, who could have caught the Antlers had they failed to win, beat already relegated Kashiwa Reysol 3-2 to finish as runners-up for a second consecutive year two points behind.
