England and Chelsea football club captain John Terry has backed the selection of Guus Hiddink as Chelsea team manager, replacing Carlo Ancelotti.

"I would like to see him back. He's obviously a very good guy and I've been in contact with him since he left", The Sun quoted Terry, as saying.

Hiddink is set to quit his role as manager of a Turkey football team.

Terry said Hiddink is capable of identifying strengths and weaknesses of the players and that he has brought about stability to the team.

Terry described Hiddink as very understandable and approachable person.

Terry also said Mark Hughes would be 'welcomed' as Chelsea team manager.
