Ravindra Jadeja has had a mixed career so far. The future script too doesn’t seem very different.

Jadeja has his personal planets in Scorpio and Gemini. While Gemini makes him wily and versatile, Scorpio is responsible for his passion and resilience. He has ‘Planet-Z’ at the strongest point in his horoscope making him an internationally recognised, reasonably successful sportsman. But Mars, planet of sports, is placed in the lowest point, which will prevent him from having an extended run of success at the highest level.

The period between 2011 and 2013 would be good for the Saurashtra all-rounder, when he would see his batting and bowling exploits flourish. He would find success, especially in home series against Pakistan, New Zealand and England, doing well in patches. But the all-rounder would come a cropper when fielded in major ICC events and also when on tour in Australia, Sri Lanka or South Africa. The left-hander may not feature again as a part of the winning team that has defeated major international teams in important tournaments. Victories similar to the inaugural IPL win and under-19 World Cup victory would be hard to come by.

The southpaw would do well in the 2012 Twenty20 WC but not good enough. He may not be a part of 2014 World Cup though. He may be either ignored or have a pathetic World Cup in 2015 and thereafter fall out of favour with the selectors.

Jadeja would do well for the team that adopts him in the 2013 IPL, but may not be able to inspire them to the title. Overall, the spinner would promise a lot, deliver those at intervals, but may never be a great.
