Hull City playmaker Jimmy Bullard could face more time on the sidelines after picking up another injury during the Premier League match at Aston Villa on Saturday.
The 31-year-old, who won the November league 'player of the month' award after inspiring lowly Hull to a four-match unbeaten run, has been jinxed by knee injuries in recent years.
The midfielder left the field in tears to a rousing reception at Villa Park after 19 minutes following a challenge with James Milner.
Bullard, who joined Hull for a club record 5 million pounds ($8.29 million) in January, lasted just 37 minutes in his first season after suffering ligament damage and only recently regained fitness in this campaign.
