The Nanoli Stud Pune Derby winner Hills and Stars should make it with her second Derby, when this filly from Vinayak Gaikwad’s stable takes on the strong field of 13 runners in this edition of the McDowell Signature Premier Indian Derby, at the Mahalaxmi race course here on Sunday.
Billed the best among the others, Hills And Stars will be ridden by Irishman Richard Hughes.
“She is in good nick and should win,” says jockey Richard Hughes. However, many pundits are of the opinion that it is an open field and it will make the Mumbai Derby more interesting.
