Sri Lanka may be in control of the Test but India coach Gary Kirsten said the game is evenly balanced. Kirsten also gave thumbs up to Zaheer Khan’s effort.

“We would have loved a few more runs but considering the comeback we made after losing those four early wickets, we will be happy with that,” said Kirsten. Kirsten termed Zaheer as a clever bowler and felt the pacer bowled exceptionally well. “It’s good to have him back. Hopefully we can continue to use his skills in the rest of the match and the series,” said the coach.

Kirsten also defended Harbhajan. “Bhajji is happy with his bowling. I am pretty confident that he and Mishra are going to be a factor in this Test,” said Kirsten. The coach said the reason for Virender Sehwag’s absence from the field was due to an injury. “He is doing well,” Kirsten revealed.
