Some of the legends of Formula One, led by Jean Alesi, Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Giancarlo Fisichella, along with Indian racing drivers who will be participating in the inaugural i1Super Series promoted by Machdar Motorsports, were formally unveiled at a media conference here.
The drivers unveiled here Monday night:
International drivers: Jacques Villeneuve, Giancarlo Fisichella, Vitantonio Liuzzi, Karun Chandhok, Jean Alesi, Heinz-Harald Frentzen, Alex Yoong, Sakon Yamamoto, Mika Salo, Pippa Mann, Cyndie Allemann and Mathias Lauda.
Indian International: Neel Jani, Armaan Ebrahim, Parthiva Sureswaren, Zaamin Jaffer, Aditya Patel, Akhil Khushlani, Phiroze Billmoria.
Indian: Gaurav Dalal, Ashwin Sundar, Vishnu Prasad, Chirag Malhotra, Abdul Ahmed, Raj Bharath, Ameya Walavalkar, Sahil Shealar, Amritajit Ghosh and Sailesh Bolisetti.
A few of the drivers, notably the 1997 Formula One world champion Villeneuve, were not present due to prior engagements, according to Darshan M., CEO, i1Super Series and Machdar Motorsports.
