Every Sachin Tendulkar run is Maharashtra's honour: Ashok Chavan

Every run scored by master blaster Sachin Tendulkar is as much an honour of Maharashtra as it is of Indian cricket team, chief minister Ashok Chavan said here today.

"I am confident that Sachin will register many more records," Chavan said, after India completed their first ever series whitewash of Australia as Sachin Tendulkar led them to a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over the visitors in the second and final cricket Test today.

Sachin Tendulkar has the record of scoring maximum centuries and runs in Test and One Day Internationals, Chavan said in his congratulatory message.
