Harbhajan Singh is not surprised to see Australia slide from the top position to number four in the world Test rankings.

The off-spinner attributes their downfall to the inability to find replacements for top bowlers of the past. “I think they are still to get over the retirements of (Glenn) McGrath and (Shane) Warne. In Test cricket, you need to have bowlers who can take 20 wickets and Australia just don’t seem to have enough wicket taking bowlers,” said Harbhajan at the trophy unveiling ceremony of Compaq Tri-Series ‘09.

“Though I did not see all matches of the Ashes series, I thought England played well and deserved to win,” said Harbhajan, who was confident that India would do well in the upcoming tournament in Sri Lanka which will also feature New Zealand.

“We have beaten New Zealand in an away One-Day International series earlier this year and have also recently won in Sri Lanka, so we should do well. I think we will win the tournament if we play to potential,” he said.
