Brazilian teenager Neymar has been reportedly lined up as Chelsea’s £30 million summer replacement for striker Didier Drogba.
According to The Sun, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich sees Neymar as a penalty-box assassin, as his record of 59 goals in just 119 Santos games suggests.
With Drogba’s age and fitness beginning to count against him, Abramovich may be ready to thrust the 19-year-old alongside £50 million signing Fernando Torres.
Earlier, in August 2010, Neymar was selected in the Brazilian national squad for a friendly match against the United States. He scored on his debut after 28 minutes.
