Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Zaka Ashraf has accused the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) of trying to bankrupt the cricket boards of Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Ashraf, however, said that that the PCB, however, was in a financially sound.

The Express Tribune quoted him, as saying that he had also discussed with BCCI President S Srinivasan about restoring Indo-Pak cricket ties, but the proposal was rejected on grounds that India would not allow it.

Ashraf said: “We’re ready to play against them when their prime minister and board president want the teams to play. Maybe it’s their selectors and team management who are afraid of facing Pakistan.”
