BCCI hands Nehra a Grade B contract

Mumbai: Ashish Nehra has been offered a Grade B contract by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) . Out of favour all-rounder Irfan Pathan has been put on Grade C.
The BCCI on Wednesday announced contracts for 41 players with nine in Grade A (Rs60 lakh), seven in Grade B (Rs40 lakh), eight in Grade C (Rs25 lakh) and 17 in Grade D (Rs15 lakh).

Awards for Sachin, Dravid, Gambhir
In another statement, the Board said Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid will receive special mementos while Gautam Gambhir will be rewarded for an exceptional year in international cricket at the annual BCCI Awards Ceremony in Mumbai on December 6.
While Tendulkar will be honoured for completing 20 years in international cricket, Dravid would be felicitated for creating a world record in number of catches held in Tests.
The CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award will be given to Mohinder Amarnath. Other awardees of the night are Rajinder Goel, Amarjeet Kaypee and the Mumbai squad.
