Australia win toss, elect to bat

Vadodara: Australia captain Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat in their first match of the seven-match ODI series against India here today. India left out Yuvraj Singh, who is recovering from an injury, besides Munaf Patel, Amit Mishra and Sudeep Tyagi.

The Teams:
India: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir, Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh, Ishant Sharma, Ashish Nehra, Praveen Kumar, Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja.

Australia: Ricky Ponting (captain), Michael Hussey, Nathan Hauritz, James Hopes, Mitchell Johnson, Brett Lee, Tim Paine, Peter Siddle, Adam Voges, Shane Watson, Cameron White.
