Andhra Pradesh CM Rosaiah felicitates Saina Nehwal

Andhra Pradesh chief minister K Rosaiah today felicitated shuttler Saina Nehwal on winning three consecutive titles in Badminton and announced cash award of Rs 25 lakh.

"You are the pride of India. Keep it up and win more laurels for the country and yourself," Rosaiah told Saina in appreciation when the latter called on him at the CM's Camp Office this evening.

He also congratulated her on achieving the No. 3 rank in World Badminton and said she would soon become world No 1.

The chief minister announced Rs 25 lakh cash award. Saina was presented a shawl and memento, who was accompanied by her coach Pullela Gopichand and father Harvir Singh.

State Sports minister K Venkata Reddy, Principal Secretary (Sports and Youth Affairs) A K Parida and Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh managing director Mukesh Kumar Meena were present on the occasion.
