Zimbabwe may tour Pakistan in 2015; talks on with PCB

Zimbabwe has reportedly expressed an interest in touring Pakistan later this year, as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is in negotiations with the African side.

Pakistan's team manager Naved Akram Cheema met with the chief executive of the Zimbabwe cricket union and insisted that they 'discussed the revival of international cricket in Pakistan'.

Cheema claimed that Zimbabwe's chief executive told him that they were 'interested in a reciprocal series' with the African nation wanting to send a team in May, Sport24 reported.

No Test side has toured Pakistan since March 2009, when militants attacked the Sri Lankan team in Lahore. Six Pakistani policemen were killed and some of the visiting players were wounded during the attack.

Cheema, who has served as chief secretary of the Punjab province, said that it would not be a 'mistake' to invite any team to play in Pakistan and that the security situation was now 'much better'. He claimed that things are 'under control' and he doesn't believe that they would have any security situation which can cause them 'embarrassment' if teams are invited to Pakistan.
