Ahead of the West Indies tour, wicket-keeper Wriddhiman Saha addressed the media in Bengaluru.

Wriddhiman said that their plan is to dominate and play on similar lines that they have so far in other series. "Our aim will be to dominate every over, ball and session. We have done it in the past. We will try doing it again," he said.

He spoke about the need to score more runs to cement his place, saying, "I made two 50s in Sri Lanka but could not go beyond 20s in the last one. My aim is to individually help the team as much as I can and make at least 70s."

Team India will be playing 17 test matches in the next 12 months, for which the team has to keep working on their mental and physical strengths. "Mental strength is taken care of during the domestic season. Even while off-seasons, we have trainers who focus on our physical fitness and help us maintain it."

"It feels bad if you get injured in the middle of a series," Wriddhiman said, talking about his injury during Sri Lanka tour. "The overall series was won by us so it wasn't disappointing. I made two 50s in the first test, so it went good for the team."

Mahendra Singh Dhoni has played a key role in preparing the teammates. He said, "When I played in the place of Dhoni, I understood more about wicket bounce. There is always something to learn when you are around Dhoni. He has never asked me to change my technique, but work and focus on my natural one.

Unlike India and Australia, West Indies play fast, slow and uneven wickets. Wriddhiman accepted that it is a challenge for him. "It is certainly challenging for us wicket-keepers. Because whatever be the case, the ball has to be caught."
