Pakistan rising all-rounder Wahab Riaz has said that his team would adopt an attacking mind-set to counter swashbuckling batsman AB de Villiers for their crunch World Cup tie against South Africa on Saturday in Auckland.

Describing the South African skipper as 'destructive', Riaz said that the overall plan was to bowl with an attacking mind-set, adding that attack was the best form of defence against South Africa, Pak Passion reported.

Reflecting further on the strategies, Riaz said that the effort would be to bowl as fast as they could and also to create pressure on him by bowling dot balls, adding that it just requires one good ball to get him out.

Pakistan won two successive games against Zimbabwe and the United Arab Emirates to grab four points in the Pool B table.

Earlier in the tournament, Misbah-ul-Haq-led side had suffered two back-to-back humiliating defeats against India and the West Indies before registering its first win.
