Sri Lanka beat England by 9 wickets in Wellington on Sunday, giving England their 3rd defeat in 4 games. Here are some trivia after the match.

1) England have now lost 3 out of 4 games. This puts their World Cup campaign in real jeopardy. They now need to win both of their remaining matches to qualify for the quarterfinals, and also watch their Net Run Rate.

2) Sri Lanka have chased 300 or more successfully 8 times now. This is only second to India, who have done it 15 times.

3) The unbroken 212-run stand between Kumar Sangakkara and Lahiru Thirimanne is their third highest in World Cups.

4) At 25 years and 174 days, Lahiru Thirimanne has become the youngest Sri Lankan batsman to score a World Cup hundred.

5) Joe Root is also the youngest World Cup centurion for England, at 24 years and 61 days. He is also the only No 4 batsman for England to score 4 ODI centuries.
