While skipper Virat Kohli and off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin grabbed the limelight with their excellent batting show, leg-spinner Amit Mishra, slowly but steadily created records of his own.

Here are some of the statistical highlights of Day two.

# Ravichandran Ashwin's splendid 113 off 253 balls is his highest score in an overseas Test, eclipsing the 62 vs Australia at Sydney in January 2012.

# Ashwin has registered three Test centuries - the first two were also scored against the West Indies, while batting as number eight batsman - 124 at Kolkata in November 2013 and 103 at Mumbai in November 2011.

# Ashwin, for the first time in Tests, has batted as number six batsman.

# Just two batsmen have scored three hundreds while batting at number six or lower vs West Indies in Tests - Kapil Dev and Ashwin.

# Among the Indian batsmen with at least five innings vs West Indies, his average of 64.66 is the second highest against them next only to the 65.45 by Sunil Gavaskar.

Amit Mishra (53 off 68 balls) has recorded his first fifty vs West Indies - his fourth in Tests. All his half centuries have been registered by him away from home.

Mishra's strike rate of 77.97 is his highest in an innings of 50 or more in Tests.

# Mishra, in nine overseas Tests, has completed his 500 runs - his aggregate being 501 (ave.31.31) in 16 innings.

# India (566/8d) have recorded their second highest total vs West Indies in the Caribbean next only to the 588 for eight wickets declared at Gros Islet in June 2006.

# India's score is the highest by any team at North Sound, Antigua, eclipsing the 522 by West Indies vs New Zealand in July 2012.

# Virat Kohli (200 off 283 balls) has posted his first double century in first-class cricket. This is his first double hundred in International cricket. His previous highest in International cricket was 183 vs Pakistan in an ODI at Dhaka on March 18, 2012.

# This is Kohli's highest in Tests, eclipsing the 169 vs Australia at Melbourne in December 2014.

# Kohli's previous highest first-class score was 197 off 274 balls vs Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd. at Ferozshah Kotla, New Delhi in September 2008.

# Kohli became the first Indian captain to register an innings of 150 or more in Tests in the Caribbean in Tests, eclipsing Rahul Dravid's 146 at Gros Islet in June 2006.

# Kohli, at 27 years 259 days, is the youngest captain to post a double hundred in Tests in the Caribbean, surpassing Denis Atkinson's record. While scoring his double century, Atkinson was 28 years 278 days - 219 vs Australia at Bridgetown in May 1955. 

# Kohli became the first Indian captain to post a double century in an overseas Test and the fifth to record a double century in Tests, joining Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Sunil Gavaskar, Sachin Tendulkar and Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi.

# Kohli is the third visiting captain to register an innings of 200 or more in Tests in the Caribbean, joining England's Len Hutton and Australia's Bobby Simpson.

# Kohli became the eighth Indian batsman to complete 12,000 runs or more in International Cricket, joining Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, Sourav Ganguly, Virender Sehwag, Mohammad Azharuddin, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sunil Gavaskar.

# Kohli became the first Indian batsman to be dismissed at 200 in a Test match. The only other captain to get out at 200 is Bangladesh's Mushfiqur Rahim vs Sri Lanka at Galle in March 2013.

# Kohli's splendid double century is the first double at this venue, outstripping Chris Gayle's 150 for the West Indies vs New Zealand in July 2012.

# Fifty-plus runs were added for the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh wickets for the second time in the same Test innings. Sri Lanka, during their total of 600 for six wickets declared, had produced the first such instance against India in the Colombo (SSC) Test in 2008.

# Kohli and Ashwin were associated in a stand of 168 - India's third highest for the fifth wicket vs West Indies in the Caribbean in Tests - the highest being 204 between Sunil Gavaskar and Brijesh Patel at Port of Spain in March 1976.

# The partnership is the highest fifth-wicket stand in Tests at North Sound, Antigua, eclipsing the 132 between Dwayne Bravo and Shivnarine Chanderpaul vs Australia in 2008.

# Devendra Bishoo (43-1-163-3) has conceded 150 runs or more in a Test innings three times. His bowling figures are the third most by a West Indian bowler in a Test innings against India.

# In consecutive Tests, Shane Shillingford had conceded 167 and 179 runs in Kolkata and Mumbai during the 2013-14 series. He had produced five or more wickets both times.

# Kraigg Brathwaite (14.5-1-65-3) has recorded his best bowling performance vs India - his second best in Tests behind the 6 for 29 vs Sri Lanka at Colombo (PSS) in October 2015.

# Shannon Gabriel (2/65) has registered his best bowling figures vs India - his best are 3 for 10 vs Zimbabwe at Bridgetown in March 2013.

# West Indies are without a fifty-run opening stand in their last 22 Test innings since January 2015.
