As the clamour for Louis van Gaal's sacking grows louder, the Dutchman himself said that he could "quit by myself" after Stoke City inflicted the fourth straight defeat on the Red Devils, reported BBC. Van Gaal was asked whether he feared he would be sacked, to which he replied, "I can also quit by myself, but that is something I discuss with Ed Woodward (executive vice-chairman) not you. "It is not always the club that has to fire or sack me. Sometimes I do that by myself, but I am the one who wants to speak first with the board of Manchester United and my members of staff and my players, not with you," he added.
