Attacking Caribbean batsman Chris Gayle has signed for the Melbourne Renegades club for the next T20 Big Bash League (BBL) season.

The Explosive West Indian batsman said that he was 'excited' to entertain fans in Melbourne and would show a good performance in his second stint of Big Bash. The West Indies superstar was the first batsman to score a World Cup double century when he scored 215 off just 138 balls against Zimbabwe in February. Gayle would be making a comeback to the Big Bash after 2011 when he had a disastrous season for Sydney Thunder struggling for runs.
