West Indies and Bangladesh both face a drought in team form as they head towards an important clash in the ICC World Twenty20 on Tuesday.
West Indies were beaten comfortably by India in their first group match and will be looking for a win against Bangladesh. Their next two games are against Australia and Pakistan, so a win on Tuesday is necessary to boost their semifinal chances.
The Windies bowling lacks incisiveness with the exception of Sunil Narine, but it is really their batting that needs to click. A big innings from Chris Gayle would do wonders not just for their chances in the match, but their confidence as well. Besides, the bits and pieces players like Bravo will have to perform with the bat. Windies will also have to take quick singles and twos, an area in which they were found against India.
Bangladesh are having a very forgettable 2014, with a poor outing in the Asia Cup, which included a loss to Afghanistan. They will be looking to start their campaign on a positive note, and West Indies are the least formidable of their opponents.
