Football is about 11 men against 11 and Iceland just proved that. Bjarnason, who is interestingly nicknamed Thor, just shocked Ronaldo and co. by cancelling out Nani’s opening goal. Savarsson whipped in an inswinging ball which found Bjarnason who swept home from six yard. A special mention for the woeful Vieirinha who went MIA. The crowd went bonkers afterwards and no matter what happens this will remain one of Iceland’s most special moments.

Here's Nani's earlier goal.

For the better part of his Manchester United career, Nani lived in Cristiano Ronaldo’s shadow. Both of them were from Portugal and somehow Nani never managed to follow his more illustrious counterpart’s career path. However, he came good in the match against Iceland. Gomes played a simple one-two on the right before spotting Nani and playing him in. Nani wasn’t found wanting and he comfortably side-footed home to Halldorsson’s left. Despite all their good work, Iceland were caught napping. That is Portugal’s first goal of Euro 2016.
