Virat Kohli admitted that India's victory over Australia in the second Test in Bengaluru was the best of his career as captain. Not just Kohli, cricket aficionados in India will fondly remember Tuesday's triumph for years to come.
Congratulatory messages for Team India have been pouring in from all corners, with fans hailing the players' remarkable fight-back against Steve Smith and Co.
In a sweet gesture by the staff of the hotel in which the Indian players were residing in Bengaluru, an elaborate welcome was planned for the team as they returned from the stadium on Tuesday.
Here's a video posted by the BCCI in which the hotel staff can be seen giving the players a rousing reception:

Not just that, two special gateaux were baked for the players, with 'Congratulations Team India' written on them. Man of the Match in the second Test KL Rahul was the one to cut the cakes, with skipper Kohli being the first one to have a bite.
The players then had some fun by grabbing hold of Cheteshwar Pujara and rubbing cake on his face, who later took revenge by doing the same to Rahul as the players were leaving.
