When Mahendra Singh Dhoni led the Men In Blue for close to a decade, rarely did one see him get agitated towards his team-mates. Unlike India's current skipper in all formats Virat Kohli, Mahi never seemed exasperated at dropped catches or poor bowling. Not that Kohli is a terror on the field for his team-mates, but it'll surely be hard for him to match the stoic demeanour of Captain Cool.

Having said that, there was always one thing that seemed to get the better of MSD. Something that would instantly draw anger or frustration upon his face. For many, this thing would most-likely be a small issue. But for MS, it was enough for him to lose his cool.

And that one thing was the lack of alertness in his fielders to stop extra singles. One would often see Dhoni throw the ball on the ground in anger, or give a death-stare, if an extra run was conceded because the fielder wasn't dialed in. He would even go to the length of vigorously gesturing to his team-mates to take a start or to keep their focus on the proceedings.

Now since those times of frustration for Captain Cool are a thing of the past, Mahi seems to satiate his drive for perfection by taking his teachings beyond the boundary and straight into his home.

On Friday, Dhoni shared an adorable video on his Instagram page where he can be seen training his pets to be alert while catching a ball. Making the most of his free time, Mahi looks relaxed as he pretends to throw a ball turn-by-turn on either side of his pets, and in the process tests their alertness towards his movements.

Here's the video shared by Dhoni:
