Many may feel that Rs 2 crore for Kedar Jadhav is a huge sum. But the Maharashtra middle-order batsman wasn't amused.

The leading Ranji Trophy run getter scorer this season was Delhi Daredevil's uncapped players choice. "Actually, I was expecting a lot more. I have played in the IPL season twice. I am currently in good form and the highest run scorer in domestic cricket," said Jadhav who is one of the probables for the T20 World Cup.

Jadhav was with the Royal Challengers Bangalore development squad to start with before being signed by Delhi Daredevils in 2010.

He made a 29-ball 50 for Delhi against the Royal Challengers in his debut IPL match to win the Man of the match award. The next season, he was signed by the now-discarded Kochi Tuskers Kerala, for whom he turned up in six matches.

Monies aside, the Pune based player said he was happy to be back with the Delhi Daredevils. "I am happy to be back with the Delhi team which is more open and the entire team gel well, and it is easier to perform well without any external pressures," he added.

Asked if he is expecting to play a bigger role this season, he said, "I would like to play a bigger role this season, but ultimately that is left to the coach to decide. I am hopeful that I would be playing a more responsible role for the team this time."
