Sourav Ganguly shared different anecdotes from his early interactions with master-blaster Sachin Tendulkar at the launch of the book Playing it My Way on Wednesday.

Sourav said that what struck him most was Sachin's hunger for playing the game at the highest level at a very tender age. According to Sourav, Sachin had to literally be dragged away from practice nets. Also Sachin used a very heavy bat from a young age, a rarity among cricketers.

Sourav also narrated several personal anecdotes about Sachin at the book launch. He said that Sachin used to sleepwalk at night and it used to keep dada awake when they were sharing a room at the beginning of their careers. Many a time, Sachin also used to shadow practice at night, and that didn't allow poor Sourav to sleep!
