Under-fire Mario Balotelli won't leave Liverpool, says manager Brendan Rodgers

 Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has brushed aside rumours revolving around Italian international striker Mario Balotelli's immediate exit from the club, saying that he has 'no plans' to get rid of the controversial striker during the January transfer window.

Balotelli, who scored twice in 15 games during this season, has been reportedly linked with a return to Inter Milan.

Commenting on the rumours, Rodgers said that it was not something he had even 'thought about', adding that the key for him at the moment was to 'keep the squad together', the BBC reported.

Liverpool, who came runners-up last season, are currently placed at ninth position in the Premier League table.
