Twitter on Friday was awash with tributes and condolences flowing in for Phil Hughes.

With tributes flowing in from all around the globe for deceased Australian batsman Phil Hughes, how can Twitter be left behind, as both former and current players have joined in and paid homage to the strokemaker on the social networking site. #PhilHughes being the most viewed and followed hashtag on the hour.
The #putoutyourbats hashtag is also trending big time on Twitter with current cricketers putting out their bats in front of their homes or dressing rooms as a salutation to Hughes.
