Stuart Broad on a roll against South Africa on Saturday

Stuart Broad was at his deadly best at Johannesburg on Saturday when he knocked over five South African batsmen in a hurry and at one point of time his bowling figures looked like this  5-4-1-5, yes that's exactly what you are seeing. The lanky English pacer single-handedly plucked out the heart of the Proteas batting order and pushed them to the brink of their second defeat in the series. Broad also leapfrogged Bob Willis to be in the third position of England's highest wicket-taker list.

Just like the Trent Bridge Test against Australia, where Broad (8-15) skittled out the Aussies for a paltry 60 runs in the first innings, he was back to his best under a clouded sky at the Wanderers Stadium with too much seam movement on offer. The home team had no clue about what was happening with the scoreboard reading 5-35. All their main batting mainstays-Dean Elgar, Stiaan van Zyl, Hashim Amla, AB de Villiers and Temba Bavuma were back in the hut with Faf du Plessis left stranded at one end.

England had taken a 10-run lead in the first innings and as things stood they were in pole position to snatch the match away in the third day itself with the home team's lead in the second essay struggling to cross the 50-run mark. Twitterati were not too kind to the all-rounder when he was smacked for three sixes by Yuvraj, but they lavished praise on him this time.
