Twitter abuzz with tweets after Oscar Pistorius' post

Twitter is abuzz with tweets after Paralympic runner Oscar Pistorius posted for the first time in 5 months, with the for and against camps equally vocal about their opinions.

Pistorius shot his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp dead on Valentine's Day in 2013, which he maintains was an accident, but the State says that it had been a premeditated murder.

According to Sport24, Pistorius had tweeted three times on Sunday. The double amputee's first tweet was an image of Psalms 34:18 which said 'The Lord is close to the brokenhearted.'

Pistorius' second tweet had been a picture of himself with various kids with disabilities and his last tweet of the day had been an excerpt from Viktor Frankl's memoirs of the Holocaust.

Pistorius' tweets were followed by a mixed reaction with some people defending the double amputee and others being very negative about him, the report added.
