A mishap happened at Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh's residence in Panchkula district of Haryana when an eight-year-old boy playing in the vicinity of the mansion died as the front gate fell on him.

It has been reported that the tragic incident happened on April 19 when nobody was present at the house. Both Yuvraj Singh and his mother Shabnam were at their Gurugram residence.

The house was being renovated, as per the police reports and the gate that fell on the young boy was put in it's place very recently. This could potentially be the reason behind the accidental fall of the gate and the subsequent death of the boy.

The police are probing the matter and have started the investigation to ascertain the situation when the incident took place. Neither Yuvraj nor any of his family members commented on the matter.

Meanwhile the talented left-handed is nursing an ankle injury suffered during the recently concluded World T20. The Sunrisers Hyderbad (SRH) player is expected to be back in IPL action in the first week of next month.
