Wozniacki with hot pink hair
She was back on the bag, just as she was last year. This time around former World No. 1 tennis star Caroline Wozniacki, had her hair in hot pink to match the famous flowers at the Augusta National. Her fiancee Rory McIlroy suggested that and she accepted. "I just wanted it to match the azaleas," said McIlroy after finishing the Par-3 Contest, with Wozniacki as his caddie. The caddie earned a hug and a kiss when she sank a 30-foot (repeat 30-foot) putt on the ninth green to finish McIlroy's round.

Wozniacki revealed, "He told me, 'Putt it somewhere around here,'". She did better than that and McIlroy added, "She's good at following instructions."

Celebs hit the course
Model and singer, Paulina Gretzky, whose appearance on the Golf Digest Fitness Issue cover evoked mixed opinion, was among those at the Par-3. Daughter of the legendary ice-hockey player Wayne Gretzky, Paulina is engaged to Dustin Johnson.

First-time Matt Jones of Australia had in tow, the former Miss Idaho Melissa Jones, with him. They arrived straight from Houston, where Jones won in a dramatic finish to earn a place in the Masters. Jones also had an ace in the Par-3 contest.

Wearing her Green Jacket Condoleezza Rice, former U.S. secretary of State – she and Darla Moore were the first two women to be made members in 2012 — greeted players at the sixth tee box wearing her green jacket.

Moore doesn't believe in Par-3 curse
Ryan Moore, who won the PGA Tour's only event in Asia, the CIMB Classic in October last – the PGA season 2013-14 began in October itself – was happy to win the Par-3 contest despite the jinx it carries. No winner of the Par-3 contest has ever gone on to win the Masters, and a many contenders have been known to get their partners, friends playing alongside to putt in between so as not to get their score counted. But Moore was happy alright as he shot six-under 21, beating Kevin Stadler and Fuzzy Zoeller by two.
"I'm one of those people, if I'm entering something. I don't believe in any of that other stuff about, you know, the curse or whatever," said the 31-year-old Moore.

Three aces in the afternoon
Tiger Woods is not playing, but his best friend, Mark O'Meara is and playing in one of the first groups, he aced the 70-yard second hole. Back in 2007, the 1998 champion had aced the seventh and won the Par-3 contest. Later in the afternoon, the coach from University of Florida, Buddy Alexander also had a hole-in-one on the same while playing with Billy Horschel and Matt Every. Alexander is a non-competing invitee who got a chance by winning the U.S. Amateur in 1987.

The third ace came from Matt Jones, who found the cup from the tee on the 90-yard third hole, who is clearly making the best of his maiden visit to Masters.
