Ten Sports to now telecast WWE Raw, Smackdown and monthly PPVs LIVE

Ten Sports has announced that they will be showing WWE content live: including the weekly WWE Raw and other PPVs like Wrestlemania and Summerslam. This comes as huge news for fans in India who have always had to watch WWE several days, even weeks after it airs live.

Ten Sports has signed a new contract with WWE starting January 2015, for a period of five years.

“Taj TV Limited and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) have reached a new agreement starting January 2015 which will see WWE available exclusively on Ten Sports Network for a further five years till 2019. WWE has enjoyed enormous success on the Ten Sports network, having been broadcast on Ten Sports since the launch of the channel in 2002.” the channel said in a statement on their website.

The channel will also offer these weekly shows in shorter versions as well as a customized 1 hour ‘RAW’ programme with a ‘local flavor tailor-made for the Indian audience.’ What this means is unclear yet, but it will surely be clear once the live telecasts begin in January.
