Tampines Rovers from Singapore thrashed Pune FC 5-2 in their SFC Group H league, at the Balwadi sports complex here on Tuesday.
The guests scored five and thus, enhanced their goal average. Pune's initial aggressive approach looked good but their sloppy defence snatched the game away.
Mustapha Riga and Anthony D'Souza scored for Pune. For Rovers, Aleksandar Duric scored a brace. Jamil Ali, Miljan Mrdakovi? and Mustafic Fahrudin scored one each.
"We did not play as a team, it was poor team work which let us down," said Pune FC coach Mike Snoei.
Rovers coach Salim Bin Moin said: "It was a good game. The boys played according to the game plan which made the difference."
