Madhya Pradesh on Friday thrashed Andhra by nine wickets in a group A Super League encounter of the National T20 Championship for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at Bhubaneshwar.

Opting to bowl, MP skittled out Andhra for a paltry 58 in 16.4 overs and then knocked off the runs in only 6.4 overs. For the winners, left-arm seamer Anurag Singh was the most successful bowler taking 3/8 in 3 overs while new ball bowler Puneet Datey took 2/11.

Seven Andhra batsmen were dismissed before reaching double figures with three of them even failing to open their accounts. D Naren Reddy top-scored with 15. For MP, Mohnish Mishra (23 off 18 balls) and Jalaj Saxena (26 no off 23 balls) hit out without much fuss to reach the target with four balls bowled after completion of Powerplay.

Brief Scores: Andhra 58 all out (Anurag Singh 3/8, Puneet Datey 2/11). MP 59/1 in 6.4 overs (Jalaj Saxena 26 no, Mohnish Mishra 23). MP won by 9 wickets.
