The Mumbai Hockey Association Limited (MHAL) is all set to host the Super Division League from September 2. It will be a start-to-finish affair with the final to be held on September 25. The opening match and the summit clash will be played under floodlights at the MHAL stadium.
A total of nine teams will fight it out for top honours, which will be played on a league basis. The top two teams will contest for the Super League title. The third and fourth placed teams will vie for the Hardlines Trophy. The champions and runners-up will receive cash prizes.
The top four teams will get a direct entry into the Gold Cup.
MHAL secretary Ram Singh Rathore said that the association has roped in the services of former India coach Clarence Lobo, along with other former internationals, in the selection panel.
