Sunil Gavaskar, Sourav Ganguly, Ravi Shastri and Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Lalchand Rajput and Venkatesh Prasad have been named by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) in a 'conflict of interest' list which was submitted to the Supreme Court on Wednesday.

The Apex body had earlier slammed the BCCI for naming players with 'conflict of interest'. A special bench had asked the BCCI to name players and officials who were involved in the commercial part of the Indian Premier League (IPL) and Champions League T-20.

Judges from the bench have been miffed with the BCCI's decision to give out the list and have asked the governing body to look into the matter.BCCI have been asked to explain modification in the 6.2.4 clause which gave their officials power to have commercial interest in IPL and CLT20.

Then BCCI chief N. Srinivasan's company India Cements were allowed to hold ownership of Chennai Super Kings (CSK) post the amended clause. The original rule clearly bars BCCI officials from having direct or commercial interest in tournaments like the IPL or CLT20. N Srinivasan's counsel, Kapil Sibal had mentioned earlier that Gavaskar, Shastri and Ganguly have held major posts in the IPL.

Sibal also threw Anil Kumble, Rajput, Srikkanth and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) owner Vijay Mallya's names in the hat.
