Starry night in pictures: Yuvraj Singh launches fashion line for a noble cause

One of the most celebrated Indian cricketers, Yuvraj Singh launched his fashion line on Saturday amidst a galaxy of stars from both the sporting and Bollywood world.

The launch of Yuvi's fashion label named YouWeCan Fashion (YWC Fashion), saw sportspersons Virender Sehwag, Ishant Sharma, Rohit Sharma, Mohammad Kaif, Zaheer Khan, PR Sreejesh, Sushil Kumar, Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo walking the ramp alongside the left-hander himself.

Bollywood biggies, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Kajol and Farah Khan also made their presence felt at the event held in Mumbai.

The brand includes casual as well as a premium high range fashion line, called the Gold collection. Celebrity designers Shantanu and Nikhil have collaborated with Yuvraj to create the debut collection.

Yuvraj said that one of the motives of going ahead with the fashion line was to collect funds for his NGO, YouWeCan, which was started in the year 2012. He said that the intention was to streamline the revenues and now one can contribute to the NGO by buying an apparel.

Reportedly the fabric used for the collection is Pima Cotton, which is one of the finest in the world, as well as organic cotton, which breathes easy. The techniques used to create the garments are environment-friendly as well.
