Srinivasan made to wait, SC to hear his perjury plea on October 5

There will be no hearing on ex-Board Of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president N Srinivasan's perjury plea against the Board's secretary Anurag Thakur before Shashank Manohar is elected as the president, according to an English daily.

Supreme Court would be hearing  (BCCI) application seeking clarification on whether Srinivasan was eligible to attend BCCI's October 4 meeting for hearing on October 5.

So the confusion over Srinivasan's eligibility to attend Board meeting, emerging after the SC on January 22 had barred him from participating in BCCI affairs, continues. A bench headed by Justice TS Thakur posted all applications filed by BCCI and Srinivasan for hearing on October 5.

Srinivasan has accused Thakur of lying to the court about his attending the BCCI meeting at Kolkata on August 8. The ex BCCI chief informed the SC that he was already in the BCCI meeting on August 8 and not barged in the room as said by Thakur.
