Sri Lanka chief selector Sanath Jayasuriya is facing a tricky situation as Sri Lanka look to be out of morale and confidence ahead of their World Cup 2015 opener against New Zealand at Christchurch.

Jayasuriya was unhappy with Sri Lanka’s humiliating loss to New Zealand in the recently concluded ODI series which the BlackCaps won 4-1. The 120-run loss at Dunedin in the sixth ODI was the lowest ebb for Sri Lanka, said Jayasurya.

The legendary batsman said despite the watershed tour, the only positive for Sri Lanka is the fact that they have had a good measure of pitch conditions and opposition by now.He concluded by saying that the absence of Lasith Malinga is a big blow for Sri Lanka.
