Tillakaratne Dilshan has opted out of Champions League Twenty 20 (CLT20) 2014 due to personal reasons. Dilshan, who was expected to play for Sri Lankan side Southern Express, has the potential to dispatch bowlers for plenty of runs and his absence will hurt the Sri Lankan T20 champions who are already without the services of Lasith Malinga.

Malinga, who led the team to a sensational victory in Sri Lankan Super 4's T20 tournament has opted to play for Indian Premier League (IPL) side Mumbai Indians instead.

The team will now be led by Jehan Mubarak, and will consist of other key players like Niroshan Dickwella, Farveez Maharoof, Dilruwan Perera and Seekkuge Prasanna.
