South African pacer Morne Morkel has praised teammate Imran Tahir for ripping through the West Indian batting order, on the fourth day of the second Test in Port Elizabeth.
Tahir claimed the crucial wickets of Denesh Ramdin, Shivnarine Chanderpaul and Sulieman Benn to reduce West Indies to 275 for 9. The tourists trailed by 142 runs at stumps on the fourth day.
Morkel said that Tahir had 'bowled very well for them', holding up one end while he and Dale Steyn rotated from the top end, Sport24 reported.
He further said that the wicket of Chanderpaul was 'crucial' as they know he could bat for a long time.
